This is Uschi, Sawyer’s Mom – it is hard for me to write this, but the cancer finally caught up with Sawyer and I had to say goodbye to him yesterday. I’m glad we were able to share our adventures with you and thank you all for your follows, likes and comments! RIP little Wander Dog ❤

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. I have always enjoyed the pictures of Sawyer. He looked like he had a wonderful life. My deepest condolences.

    The moon comes up.
    The moon goes down.
    This is to inform you
    that I didn’t die young.
    Age swept past me
    but I caught up.
Spring has begun here and each day
brings new birds up from Mexico.
Yesterday I got a call from the outside
world but I said no in thunder.
I was a dog on a short chain
    and now there’s no chain

  2. I’m so sorry to read this. I always looked forward to photos of Sawyer, and the love he received shone through with each post. I can’t think of the right words, but you have my deepest sympathies…

  3. I am so sorry, Uschi. Letting a pet go, especially one as wonderful as Sawyer clearly was, is never easy. Perhaps knowing that other people share a tiny piece of your affection for him, and that this lives on through your wonderful photos, will help mitigate the pain of his loss a tiny bit. Best wishes.

  4. I will miss Sawyer and his adventures. You were very fortunate that this wonderful little man was part of your life. He was lucky that he still had a great time after he had lost his leg. I read most dogs don’t last more than three months afterward. Sawyer was a tough little guy, a true JRT.
